Thank you.

Graham Marsden heard. I agree that I could have, but I didn’t feel comfortable risking someone else’s face on my skill set regardless of priority. I get that the paddling surfer needs to be out of the way. But in all reality the spot I was surfing draws lots of inexperienced surfers and I don’t expect anyone else to follow the rules of road. I take the advice that I could have angled steeper to draw on the power. Would you recommend that same technique in a fatter softer less vertical wave?

Graham Marsden thanks for that. I wasn’t so worried about priority. The guy paddling was hoping I pass in front of him so her could paddle out behind me, but I was concerned in the moment of angling out towards him. The wave here is kinda fat and I’m hesitant to try to go too to. Bottom out of fear of losing momentum. I’ll give it a try next time. Hadn’t seen your reccomendation before today’s surf.

How close to the guy paddling out in front of me during the drop would you reccomend to go in setting the bottom turn? Hypothetically of course I’m not trying to run anyone over.

Right. In both.

They are chilling. 😂

Thank you. I’ll check it out. I find the wave is often a little chubby there, but there’s kelp and rock to make a little structure at the right tide. It’s in the state park just south of Oceanside, California.
