What board do you usually ride? You don't want to change too drastically, otherwise you'll spend a lot of time trying to learn to handle a different one.

Gregg Arbittier Clay would probably say that concentrating on making sure you're stacking on your front foot, which should be on the widest part of the board, is more important.

Let your back foot just go wherever feels comfortable.

The question I'd ask is: Are you actually going to use it, ie do you really need the grip to be able to snap the board vertically off the lip? It always made me laugh when places would rent beginners' boards with tail pads because they looked cooler that way 😂

Wow, that was incredible! 😮Although I have to say that, whilst I was watching it I was thinking "Yep, stacking on the front foot, coffee cup, pushing the shopping trolley..." 👍

Maria Molè I know the feeling. There was a forecast for a nice swell this morning. I woke up and looked at the webcam to see a completely flat sea 🙁 I also missed last month's Live chat because they moved it to the day before and I didn't get a notification. Oh, and I can't even surf skate because it's been pi$$ing down with rain...
