I definitely want to see!! 🛹👏

That’s awesome, I’d love to see it. It’s definitely a bit gnarly at first, on a skateboard. The water doesn’t hurt nearly as much. I’ll have to dig out my videos of that, too.

A spreadsheet of weekly drills to practice and add to baseline land drills such as the walk up, short board walk ups, cardboard slider, duck dives on bosu, the ever challenging walk up on bosu!!

I can get started on that right away and share the file with you and Roxy to help organize it and then organize the weekly practice drills posts.

I know for me, my learning style is immersion so I love this idea of being all in. Roxy Susanne Gunther said she is in. 😀

It is very confusing. What’s the benefit to posting on OMBE Insiders vs OMBE Community?

This session went a bit better for you? A little more familiarity with the wave?

Wow, do I understand your pain!! I just took this video two minutes ago right from my balcony

It is disheartening for sure, at times. I’m sorry you’re disappointed.

I am in a similar situation as you. I haven’t surfed in about five years, just started again March. I had a hip replacement and after all of that and the healing time, the muscles in my upper thigh still cannot support my weight alone in a bent position. So it’s definitely a struggle but I do see I am getting stronger and wiser every dey by doing my PR and OMBE land drills. Chin up, it’ll get better. 😀🙏

Can you play in the whitewater, Roxy?

We have sloppy, wind blown beach break going on here. 👀

So, I’m wondering, Roxy Susanne Gunther Libby Stanos, Dee Pnak Coryn Daniel and anyone else who’d like to participate, if they’d be interested in going week by week through the program where we are working on the same thing, then posting it here where we can give each other feedback. Like a study group. So, while I moved on from my 6 week beginner, I’d be ok with starting the 6 week beginner land training drills over.

This is not by any means a replacement for the monthly video feedback but to progress in our land drills and provide a bit of structured support.

There is a video in the series that shows Clayton‘s hip and rib placement from the ground on the Bosu. I need a little bit of time to find it but I will let you know which one it is.

From what I see, you should reverse engineer that. Start in your neutral stance as if you did your walk up and are already surfing — now bend your knees and get low, place your hands down on bosu and step legs back, one at a time. Once you have done the reverse you can sort of figure out where you should be to actually do the walk up on the Bosu.

If you put your hands in that same position and tried to do that on flat land, you would not be able to accomplish this either.

Wow, I had a pretty big comment… sorry. I’m definitely passionate about surfing. Lol
