I had a similar problem, so, when I'm in this position, I push up on what will be my front knee and, at the same time, extend my back leg straight out behind me.

This helps me with the hip lift so I can get the back foot in place before I scoop the front leg through.

Maybe it will work for you too?

John Kuras I'll look forward to seeing it from another angle 👍

You could always use a bag or something else to support the camera 🙂

John Kuras I think if you look again at Ant's posture, his head is up and looking to where he wants to go and his knees are kissing more so his back is straighter.

BTW I'd recommend getting a Gorilla pod Tripod by Joby, they're really versatile.

You can find them on Amazon etc, but watch out for cheap knock-off copies that aren't as well made and tend to break.

If you want to turn off the lip, the first thing you need to do is to look at it, then point at it, then extend up to it, unfortunately it doesn't look like any of these are happening ☹️

You go where you look and point, but at the moment everything is pointing down...

John Kuras That's really looking like you're making progress 👍

One thing I would comment on is the second turn. I appreciate it's tricky because of the design of the bowl, but you're hunching over and leaving your coffee cup arm behind you.

If you could lift the cup to the rim that could be helpful.

I think you're in the UK, aren't you?

If so, here's a list of skate parks. Ideally somewhere with a decent bowl is good, but any reasonable banking should help.

At the moment I'd say your stance is too long, so try some Bosu ball practice to help you get the feeling of stacking on the front foot.

Sorry to hear that ☹️

I've got a Sony HDR-CX405 camcorder which I bought second hand for just under £100.

It's got a 9.2MP sensor and an incredible 30x optical zoom which will be plenty enough 👍

You can copy the footage into another device for analysis.

Check eBay etc and you should find some.

Even the sun came out to celebrate 👍

John Kuras Tell me about it, I can't scratch my back with my right arm any more after I (somehow, I don't actually know how) damaged my right shoulder.Personally I find the "roll the thumb" technique actually limits my movement, but if you can't lift the arm maybe just keep it in eg by having the elbow down and touching your shoulder with your hand?

John Kuras You're getting a good angle on the banking, but I think your arms and shoulders are restricting your twist which is stopping you from turning as quickly as you might.

Try lifting the inside hand and, as Clay says, put your elbow in your back pocket.

That should make it easier to look towards the other side and give you more time to prepare for it 👍
