How I feel (hanging out with my family excepted of course :-)
Hello everybody! First time posting! I've been getting to the stage where I feel like I need to get some outside perspective of where my surfing is and what next to work on! I would love to hear any feedback on these waves! (I'm 6ft2 183lb, riding 5ft11 38L keel fin fish!) I put myself at a lower intermediate level and want to start surfing more vertically Yew!
I've been working on my surf skating, trying to get the timing right on the transitions so I can pump for speed.
This is my best effort to date, I'm actually managing to keep it going for almost a minute (the video is shorter!)
Once I've got the timing, I'm hoping to be able to get my head lower.
If anyone has any advice or suggestions on how I can improve things, please do post them here.
PS what's disappointing is that, when I'm on the board, it feels like I'm getting almost to the top of the bank, but when I look at the video, I'm barely getting half way up 🙁

Hey everyone! I got this wave at the wave pool some weeks ago and I hope I could get some feedbacks. I’m seeing that my posture is not so good and wondering what else I should work on to get better. Thanks in advance! Greetings from Brazil!!
I’m new to surfing and surfskating. I am regular on a surfboard but goofy on a skateboard. Is it recommended to try and change one of the stances to match the other?
Fwiw, I’m a type-1 fun surfer. Looking to progress much mostly want to keep it light and chill and spend time with my kid. So if surfskating switch will still give me some basic balance and body awareness, then great. I just don’t want riding switch to be detrimental.
Everyone in here seems so advanced! It’s both intimidating and inspiring!
Hi all! Anyone else can’t see this video? I have access to all the other ones. Thanks for the help :)
Surfing Stance
I'd like to get some opinions of surfing stance. A lot of advice (that I'd previously followed), advised to have the front foot at 45deg angle, and the back foot at 90 deg.
I see that clay has both front and back feet at 45 degrees. To me this feels much more natural. Is there a reason for the differing advice?
Hey friends! Went to the surf pool and got this nice wave 🌊 do you have tips to help me improve? Feedback is always appreciated - thx 🙏
Hi !
After finally moving closed to the ocean, I progressed a lot since then but I feel like I struggled to fix some of my mistakes and it leads to a lot of frustration 😅
I struggled to be right at the peak, often too much inside or to much backward.. When I'm well placed, often I take off to late and I'm behind the section, I never really surfed down the line and this is really frustrating 🥲
I tried the Oreo biscuit technics and it worked well on couple waves but sometimes I do it too early
If you have some tips 🙏🏼
Maybe my board is too demanding for my low intermediate level, it's a 6'7 and I'm 6'4 and 83 kilos what's your thoughts ?
Hello OMBE Community! :)
After the feedback I got in my last video skating on a ramp, I decided to regress and master the turn on a flat ground. Can you guys give me a feedback on where to improve? Thanks!
