I remember Clayton Nienaber mentioned that white (standard) boards last longer than boards with color. I can't find that specific video, but would anyone be able to explain why? Google hasn't helped me in this endeavor either...

Hello - My eldest daughter Lucy moved to London a couple of years ago. She is advanced intermediate (Shortboard longboard and Log). She is contemplating joining a boardriders club to get more waves. i told her i’d post here and pass on any wisdom that comes back. Any local knowledge or contact would be appreciated.
Hey ombe crew ! I just came back from Sydney urbnsurf with some footage. I have been working with all the fantastic coaches at the bowl lab on the GC in the last couple of months and I really switched my surf from flat to almost a full top to bottom, which is incredible! I feel like I’m still needing more work on getting vertical and move my body efficiently! What’s your thoughts ?
Thanks in advance 🤙and big thanks to Jack and Ray for taking me to a different level !
Hi everyone! Any advice on my snap/end turn? I’m pretty happy with my timing, bottom turn, and the initial arm movement, but I’m really struggling to complete the second half of the maneuver. I know I need to stay a bit more compressed, but aside from that, any tips? Really appreciate it!
I should add that this session was the first time I have gone left in the pool. My previous session was a right hand wave and as I am reasonably happy with my take off now I decided to move on to Trimming. After about 20 waves I don't think I got on rail at all.
Was it me, the small wave or the board volume. Without any OMBE insights I decided to try a left wave for a change. I found heading down the line difficult, I either surfed or fell off the back of the wave.
But when I played back the video I just thought while I was lying down trying to get behind the surfer in front I actually managed to momentarily get on rail.
Thanks for commenting Graham, Alessandro and Scott I am going to go get on my bosu ball right now.
Do I get on rail while I am trying to get around this young man?
I am struggling trying to trim on this high volume board
New YouTube is out
Hi, I have been following the intermediate course and the skateboard videos so far. The surf footage is from a surf pool in Rotterdam, the beginner wave. I have been trying to go back to the pocket after the pop up. On the skateboard I have been trying to wiggle less and compress/extend more.
I know there is a lot to improve that’s why I am posting it.
I would be grateful for tips I should immediately focus on, or mistakes I should try to avoid!
Hi everyone!
I'm new to the Ombe community and would really appreciate some general feedback on my surfing. I feel like I need to work on compressing and extending more, holding my turns longer, and staying on rail — but I’m not quite sure what to prioritise. This was filmed at the intermediate point setting in the new wave pool in Munich.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Cheers, Nico
Apparently I now qualify for an Over 60s Bus Pass in the UK!
Can you take surf boards on buses...? 😁
