Roxy Susanne Gunther That’s a nice helmet, I must say, Roxy! We definitely have to protect our heads. And guys out there, whether inexperienced or just aggro, don’t value others. Just had a similar incident a few weeks ago. I told him to his face “that was a d- - - move!!” I haven’t seen him back since he ran me over.

I agree, just being out more often is a win.

Hi Coryn!

Maybe it’s because social media is part of my every day job 😀 I’m a creative director (food sector).

Yes, Lincoln is my home break. You can probably catch me out there most mornings. It is hard to tell who’s who since the cam is a bit far away but I can spot myself on the replays. I hate watching but it helps me see if what I played in my head while on a wave is the same as what’s on video. 🤣

I feel like I’ve been progressing. Some things are starting to stick. I’ve been getting out just about every morning so that’s been a great help. Some days I just have fun. Some days I specifically work on maneuvers.

I love that “just got into that wave glide” feeling so much that I have to remind myself to actually get up a little quicker.

How are you guys doing?

The waves look beautiful! They’re calling me!

Hi Libby, I love your love-hate relationship with Bali! Yeah, shore break is no joke lol I think I’ve done the most damage to myself in 3 inches of water at the shoreline.

It truly is a win! Any day that you are out there and learning and having fun… What more can we ask for?

What kind of board were you riding when you were there?

Glad you found out about us Insiders!! 😀

The OREO is a necessity in any wave condition, It stops nosedives, for sure; puts pressure on the back of your board and locks you in.

Fat or flatter conditions are tougher to get into, in general, but I still OREO.

Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer for the second question regarding volume and paddling.
