John KurasSounds like it's a winner! I will definitely keep that in my sights. Once we get out of winter suits I will have to take a leap. Longboards really are a pain in a$$. It would be so much easier to walk onto the beach with a cado. :)

That's a nice selection of boards, John. I don't have anything that would be considered a short board in my quiver. I would consider the Machado Cado though but that's only because I really like Machado :) Good to know that's your every day board.

I just added a 9'0" Carbon Fiber Walden... man that zips. It doesn't feel like a longboard at all, zips like a short board and gets in on late takeoffs with ease.

Come Spring, I will be adding a 9'4" Bing Spoiler (with custom artwork).... tested one out in Encinitas CA in Sept... feels really nice.

Our obsession with boards and surfing just never ends, does it?😀

Ali Lexa I typically need to do that as I longboard. And then once I’m in, it’s a super quick WHOOPIE Pie for me!

John Kuras Yeah, I think the USA version may be too chemical based to squeeze anywhere, hot or cold temps. Maybe we need to call that arching of back WHOOPIE PIE.🤣

Welcome back to the surf life. 😀

I have two Waldens: an epoxy and a glassed of the same model. No question I prefer the epoxy. Lighter, easier to paddle and handle. Zippier.

I’m grateful to live oceanfront in NY. Doesn’t mean I’m always in good surf though, 😀

John Kuras Jersey gets some really nice surf. We used to take day trips over by Deal before grandkids came along since they occupy our total weekend, Jersey gets way better surf than we do. Buuuttttt… moving to 4/3 wetsuit max is amazing! I can only hope! I tend to travel a bit to warmer spots in the winter. And a 3/2 is definitely warmer.

It’ll be interesting to see how all of these wave pools fare.
