When I'm out the back I make an effort to keep stretching my arms, legs and back to stop my muscles seizing up which helps.

I'd say the main thing to work on now would be to relax more. Your body seems very tense and I think that's stopping you from raising your elbows which is restricting your compress/ extend.
Once you get that, it should help you be able to lower your head in the rectangular bowl.
