I've got a 7'6 Torq Mod Fun, but it's a thruster configuration. What do you mean by "struggle at bending"?

Maria Molè  I was out at East Wittering and the conditions were beautiful, almost glassy smooth with just a little bit of off-shore wind, sets running around 3-4' or even more with about a 15 second period and nice long gaps between them too. Unfortunately last month I'd picked up some virus which has wiped out my endurance, meaning I was struggling and my technique was pretty rubbish.Worse, I kept missing waves despite trying my best to do the Oreo take off and then, after about an hour and a half, my left calf muscle suddenly cramped solid as I was walking up and I had to quit. There was even some left over swell today, which would have been nice on my 8'2, but I just didn't dare take the risk 🙁

I would wonder if the humming was caused by a phenomenon called "vortex shedding" which is making the fins vibrate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vortex_shedding

Welcome to my world, and pretty much anyone who surfs beach breaks in the UK!We can get a good primary ground swell coming in, but often it's overlaid by a short period secondary windswell that causes choppy conditions and little "spoiler" waves that interfere with the main swell, resulting in messy conditions that make it very difficult to catch anything good 🙁

Nice flow 👍

I wish I could get that smooth ☹️ I also wish I had a local bowl that was as good as that...

One thing: your top half looks very tense, maybe try relaxing your shoulders a bit more?

The next Live is now scheduled for October 22nd, look under Browse/ Upcoming live events in the app.

But videos are dealt with in order of uploading and they only deal with about 8-10 each time, so you might not get into the next one.

Do the video anyway and upload it, but you can also post them in here to get feedback from other OMBE members 👍

Clayton Nienaber That's fair enough, but I think they were also asking for suggestions about which board(s) to bring 🙂

Sounds good! 🤙

The shorter the board, the easier it will fit into bigger waves, but the harder it will be to catch smaller ones.

What are you riding at the moment?
