Try with a small board first so it’s easier to sink and work you way up. Volume is like heavy weight. You are pushing heavy weight with poor technique and no muscle yet. Hope this make sense

It may feel like you are leaning over the rail but you are bending and still balancing but with a bent back. You need to gently roll the rail by leaning to lean over your front foot toe side. That’s where magic happens

Raise the back elbow up higher and it will make you lighter on your feet. Tucking your elbow in will lockup twists
