Mitchell mclaurin Hey mate. Sorry for ghosting for several months. Was out with an ACL injury. Still keen to catch up and surf. Let me know if you'd be keen to meet up at Freshie this weekend.

Total beginner here but seemed like a looking problem. I usually mess up when looking down at the board or not all the way around. But now, even with getting more height, I can make it as long as I look right around.

Oh cool. I do like it a lot. I have managed some turns on it but not consistently.

I actually bought a second hand 5'10 hypto over the weekend. I can feel the manoeuvrability immediately! I don't think it's out of my limits. I like the feel a lot. Definitely worth going down in volume. Obviously still getting used to it.

I do surf skate. Only recently started but love it a lot too.

Yeh keen to join you for a surf! I definitely like heading to the northern beaches. I'll send you a message maybe on the weekend and see if you're free.

Ian Warren thanks legend. Interesting about the hypto. Do you have any experience with any of Hayden's other boards? I was looking at the cohort 1, holy grail and love buzz as potential options.

Thanks Ian. Great to have some perspective.

To be honest, I've only had this board for a little over 4 months. But I can say with certainty I've surfed it over 100 times. I don't know if that changes much.

I'm not really obsessing over the gear to the point that I don't go out and work on my technique. I try to surf most days and am always working on something small.

I guess I'm just wondering if the current board is too buoyant for what I'm trying to do with it.
