Philipp Unterreiner. In early videos, Clay suggested turning the front hand to "point with the thumb".

Personally I found that would "lock" my shoulder making it harder for me to twist.

I find raising the hand and "putting my elbow in my back pocket" makes it easier to twist.

You can always try both ways and see what works for you 👍

If you don't mind a little suggestion, I would say that the problem here was that you're bending at the waist. 

This is causing you to look down, your hands are pointing down and, as Clayton says, all of this is telling your board to go down, which it does.  

If you look along the line as you pop up and raise your elbows to straighten your back, you can point in the direction you want to go which will help the board fit into the curve of the wave and put you in the right position for your bottom turn 👍

Maria Molè It's 200+ miles (and about 4 hours) from London to North Devon which is the closest place to find reliable ocean waves.

Cornwall is even further...

I don't recall hearing that, unless it's maybe to do with the effect of sunlight on darker colours?

But if you go through the "choose the right board" videos etc, maybe it'll be mentioned there.

She and others go to The Wave in Bristol which is about the only place you're going to find reliable surf without a much longer drive 😕

I'd suggest the thing you need to work on most next is your twist at the top of the wave.

You've completed the top turn, but you're still looking down the line instead of back at the foam.

As Clay says, lift your front arm and put your elbow in your back pocket.

I think your issue may actually be that you're not extending enough.

When you start the top turn your chest is bent forward and your front arm is blocking your twist.

Try bringing your elbow up and putting it in your back pocket and you should be able to straighten your back to look back at the foam.

I've just tried to upload a clip which is about 300 MB, but got the same error.

I have a feeling that the file size limit is lower than the 500 MB stated and that's what's causing the problem.

I don't know who on the OMBE team is dealing with tech issues now.

ADDENDUM: I've just been doing some experimentation and it wasn't until my clip was less than 100MB that I didn't get an error.

So it seems that the 500MB size limit is incorrect and I hope someone can fix this.
