michio Your first bottom turn is good and you get back up the wave, but after you turn off the top, you choke the ride down and go horizontally instead.

If you can hold that all the way down, you'll be there 👍

What you probably need to do is try the Bosu ball drills to practice getting more front on so you can stand up straighter and stack on the leading foot.

Do you have a surf skate? That would also help.

First question is can you fit roof bars etc?

Alternatively, is there somewhere you can hire a board to try out?

You can also try chatting with others in the line up and ask what they're riding and maybe swap for a few waves.

Of course if you're on the Gold Coast, you're not far from OMBE HQ 👍

Paul Doan It looks pretty good, but I think the issue is that you're not getting your coffee cup arm forward enough. Also you're looking at the nose of the board instead of where you want to go.

I'm going to post this pic of John John Florence again, because it's great for showing how he's compressing the front leg and kissing the knees while reaching forward with his back hand and looking at the lip.

Practicing this on the surf skate in a bowl will be a great help 👍

@Philipp Unterreiner - Clay often gives the analogy of riding a bicycle.If you're riding slowly and you lean, you'll fall off, so you need to twist instead.Conversely, if you're going fast, then you need to lean into the turn.So, yes, speed does make a difference, but you still need to be front on to be able to look where you're going and pass the coffee there.
