John Kuras Sounds like a good idea.

A couple of things to think about:

1) in pretty much all of the videos I've seen showing how to drop in, they go front hand, front foot, so you may need to explain the Coffee Cup arm leading to the instructor.

2) The front truck of a surf skate is generally looser than that of a skateboard, so you might want to tighten it up to start with.

John Kuras In your original clip, you appear to be rolling down a bank that has a rail on the left.

That's a good place to start practicing dropping in as you can start with the wheels on the flat section and roll down, then have the front wheels land on the slope and finally start with the back wheels on the slope too.

If there's someone else around who is dropping in, ask them for a bit of help and get them to pull your coffee cup arm forward as you start to drop which should stop you from standing on the back leg and having the board scoot out from under you.

That looks pretty good to me 👍

I'd say the main thing to work on now would be to relax more. Your body seems very tense and I think that's stopping you from raising your elbows which is restricting your compress/ extend.

Once you get that, it should help you be able to lower your head in the rectangular bowl.

When I'm out the back I make an effort to keep stretching my arms, legs and back to stop my muscles seizing up which helps.

I presume they're waiting until Clay and Ant's schedules coincide again... 🙁

Out of interest, I looked at how to get into a Zipless Wetsuit and found this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhyhWVzApvwIt looks like they have a bit more stretch than regular suits, but I couldn't say for certain without trying one.

Looks better than me with two good hips!
