Exciting Changes Ahead! 🌊We’ve restructured our footage review process to make it more beneficial for everyone. While live sessions will be on pause as we adapt to new dynamics with our two candidates, we’re thrilled to announce a fresh approach: your submissions will now be reviewed and shared here in the community! Here’s why we’re embracing this new method:✔️More Engagement: Posting reviews here encourages interaction and brings our quieter members into the conversation. Lives were limiting, as only those free at the time could participate.✔️Flexibility for Clay: With a packed schedule of retreats next year, this setup allows Clay to review submissions remotely during his downtime—ensuring faster and more consistent feedback.✔️Easier Access: Every review and takeaway will be visible to everyone, making it simpler to learn and improve without sifting through past live sessions.✔️Focused Feedback: This organized system will help you concentrate on specific areas to improve.🔔 A few reminders: • Submit one video at a time to give everyone a fair chance for feedback. • Avoid submitting distant or surf-cam footage—Clay needs clear visuals to provide effective, actionable advice. We can’t thank you enough for your support, patience, and understanding as we work through these changes together. Your willingness to adapt and grow with us means the world, and we’re so appreciative of this amazing community. 🙏P.S. I’ve added a Google sheet in the comments for tracking your submissions. If you’d like your older footage skipped, simply select “Y” in column F. This will indicate you’re uploading newer training footage. If you select “N,” Clay will proceed with reviewing your current submission. Let us know if you have any questions!

Hi Everyone
Well the week is over and I have to say it was really worthwhile.
As you know Clayton is a terrific teacher. I would add that he is so good that he doesn’t seem to know when to stop! His team of helpers are so enthusiastic there was no suggestion of well it’s 5pm time to finish for the day, go home. We were allowed to stay and play for as long as we wanted
I am not sure if I can tell you what we learnt. It was like the information was general and the learning was quite specific for each individual.
What I learnt I will happily share once I am home.
I will tell you that today we surfed at a place called Fingal Head
It is a beautiful spot. There was no wind the water was magnificent, there was a large pod of dolphins lingering around in the foreground with whales in the background
MAGIC!!!!!
Did I enjoy myself. Well I was quite teary after saying bye to Clayton and I haven’t had that reaction to the end of an experience since I was about 13
Heading home tomorrow so need a good nights sleep will write again once home
Hope you have all been working hard

What is your wave height go too? Seeing that I am only 5’2 perspective is viewed at 3-4ft is 4-5 for me overhead. Which surfline does not take into account fun size peeps. Lol.
I did move up from 2-3 to 3-4 with no FFF as Clay would say.

Did it slow mo. As far as my back foot step that is the best and stacks with my hip. Then able to get my front foot forward otherwise stuck.
If it was a shortboard I would be in trouble. I have room to walk my board. Thoughts?

Does anyone remember that pyramid of progression video? It's from quite a while back. Can't find it. Would appreciate someone painting me in the right direction.

FIND YOUR FLOW, Created by Hadyn Wood utilizes yoga moves to stretch and strengthen all the necessary muscles for surfing. Add this quick routine to your daily practice before land drills, before paddling out or any time of day you can sneak in a few moves.
