Exciting Changes Ahead! 🌊We’ve restructured our footage review process to make it more beneficial for everyone. While live sessions will be on pause as we adapt to new dynamics with our two candidates, we’re thrilled to announce a fresh approach: your submissions will now be reviewed and shared here in the community! Here’s why we’re embracing this new method:✔️More Engagement: Posting reviews here encourages interaction and brings our quieter members into the conversation. Lives were limiting, as only those free at the time could participate.✔️Flexibility for Clay: With a packed schedule of retreats next year, this setup allows Clay to review submissions remotely during his downtime—ensuring faster and more consistent feedback.✔️Easier Access: Every review and takeaway will be visible to everyone, making it simpler to learn and improve without sifting through past live sessions.✔️Focused Feedback: This organized system will help you concentrate on specific areas to improve.🔔 A few reminders: • Submit one video at a time to give everyone a fair chance for feedback. • Avoid submitting distant or surf-cam footage—Clay needs clear visuals to provide effective, actionable advice. We can’t thank you enough for your support, patience, and understanding as we work through these changes together. Your willingness to adapt and grow with us means the world, and we’re so appreciative of this amazing community. 🙏P.S. I’ve added a Google sheet in the comments for tracking your submissions. If you’d like your older footage skipped, simply select “Y” in column F. This will indicate you’re uploading newer training footage. If you select “N,” Clay will proceed with reviewing your current submission. Let us know if you have any questions!

I have a 31.5L Dominator 2, 5'9 and find it great to duck dive and when up and riding. However I struggle to get onto waves unless overhead. I also have a Hypto Krpto 5'10 33.4L and this is hard to duck dive, easy to catch waves but a bit too much board and slow when riding. So I am looking at a:

  1. RNF96

  2. DHD Phoenix

  3. DHD Black Diamond

What do you reckon? Surf 1ft overhead and under, punchy

It seems like the free community has more interaction...is that where we should be posting?

Hello all, OMBE promotes the Oreo bitcuss method to take off so the wave can push the tail of the board forward.
Some short boarders prefer using their chest pushing the front of the board down while taking off. What is the good and bad of this method?

Hey all! I’m pretty new to this app. Does anyone know of the OMBE Community app still works or is this the only app that is currently active? I am having trouble signing into the OMBE community app, nothing I’ve clicked on works with my password and the magic sign in link from my email. Is there a tech person to contact about this? If we do have video footage, do we upload them here? Thank you!

Hey team, just joined the program. Anyone working through it from Newcastle Australia? I just moved here and keen to connect with other surfers looking to improve.

Cheers

Hi!
I'm looking for someone, who could film my sessions at The Wave tomorrow (17.08) at 8AM and on 18.08 at 7AM. I know it's short notice, but maybe I'll have some luck ;-)

Paid job ofc!

Cheers,
Aleks

With a slight smile ;)—and more important—a nod towards Clayton Mark Nienaber and the Ombe Surf team, I present to you the "Ombe changed my Life Documentary" real investigative surf journalism

Thanks to anyone who spends time watching this :) I hope it was able to make you smile a little https://www.youtube.com/watch?fbclid=IwAR3fX8MpUSUsJ1cCOQDNG13kUe15DwHoLvIlMkxNcCuqaaJN9aU2nRI5CjM&v=h4f7jNA4lHw&feature=youtu.be

Hi! My name is Giovani and I have been surfing for 6 years with little progress.

A little bit about myself. I am 34 years old and had a brain aneurysm at 16.

The aftermath of that has been tremors on my right side.,(right hand and leg). I was right handed when i was born, but because of this I taught myself how to be left handed, but i still kick with my right foot.

Having explained all of this, i have been surfing goofy and even have recently picked up a surfskate and follow a goofy stance on that.

Should I continue beeing a goofy footer while surfing or regular stance adoption?

Right now, I dont have access to the ocean, but will towards the end of the year. Nevertheless, I am trying to surf train in the gym and surfskate. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

If the answer is yes, should I be switching the stance in a surfskate as well?
