Thanks so much Emily! Ah yes the coffee cup, I love it!! I really notice the difference when I do it , in my last session I forgot to put it up on like 4 waves and those waves didn’t go well and then i remembered where’s your coffee cup and was back up riding the board and guiding it down the line!! So yes I may just focus on consistency with coffee cup hand and try to straighten up like you say! 🙏🙏🥰🥰

Thank you Coryn! I will definitely try both things! Point the boobs where I want to go and experiment with an inch narrower stance! In yesterdays session I realized I have been over waxing my board and my feet were so sticking to the board that I couldn’t move them lol 😂so less wax for me for sure to be able to shift the feet when I need to! Once again thank you for your time and knowledge 🙏🙏

Graham Marsden thank you! That is great advice 🙏

Thank you for the tips Graham! Yes I have been looking at the wave a lot more even on take off but perhaps it’s not showing on the video too much because I’m not turning my head completely to look at the wave, and maybe that’s something I need to do is to not only look at the wave but turn the head more in that direction as well! And yes then try to shift the gaze to the bottom or where I want to go next.. all good tips! I will try my best 😂 I will try this finding your stance length exercise too, it looks very helpful!! Thank you for your time and knowledge, I appreciate it a lot 🙏🙏🙏I have been doing some sessions on the surf skate, it’s taken some adjusting as I was only ever used to riding a regular skateboard lol 😂 and the wobble is real haha but I will try to upload soon for some feedback !! Thank you again 😊

Ahh yes I can totally see what you are saying! I do feel I lose a lot of speed after the take off , so looks like I’m braking by being heavy on that back foot, i definitely think I lack trust so I subconsciously do that, I’m going to be more aware of it now! Thank you so much for pointing that out Nicolas! Your tips have helped me a lot! And yes I can see both arms are pretty much stiff lol 😂 so to be more front on , is it that front arm that needs to open up to the wave more do you think? 🤔 once again thank you so much 🙏🙏

Hey guys! So I’m looking more at the wave now which is opening me up more than last time I posted! There’s things I know I need to work on .. 1. getting back foot on tail pad (not in front of it like I’m doing) 2. Relax more 😆3. Try to get faster feet on the pop up and of course try not to hunch and have better posture overall.. for my next session I might just try to focus on one thing though and was wondering what would be the next biggest priority.. I have been prioritising looking at the wave and relaxing as much as possible and dont want to stop doing that want but feel I can maybe squeeze in one more thing now, my instinct is telling me to focus on getting that back foot to land on the track pad, but any suggestions or tips are greatly appreciated 🙏🙏🥰🥰

hey Graham, thank you for the cue to relax! 😎 I remembered what you said today and a quarter through my session after taking some deep breaths and just chilling I became a lot more in sync with the wave and some magic happened, now I just have to keep relaxing 😎 😂😂

Hey Nicholas, just wanted to say thank you, I had another session today and applied the things you suggested about looking at the wave even from the beginning and i did notice a big difference, i still have a lot of things to learn but thanks for stressing how important this is! On some of my waves I even felt very anchored with my balance and I wasn’t doing much at all other than just looking at the wave the whole time 😂

I see! Wow! I have my work cut out for me!! Haha 😝yes I do often break my gaze from the wave as I’m scared of running into people haha, so must fix this!! Thank you for your help and suggestions 🙏
