Got the email too. I am just wondering what will happen with all the videos we are lifetime members off. I am not planning to spend 250 dollars yearly to an other program. Maybe if they say we get a lifetime membership for 50dollars a year I can think about it. And specially for active members like you they should think more about what to do for the OMBe members. It’s hard to say what board is good for you. Looking at your surfing you have the ups and downs. ( how we call that in Japan) pretty well controlled. It’s more what kind of tail do you want, how much volume do you think you need.

You surf a board with 45L but want more maneuverability, I would go to a 6’6 midlength with a round or pin tail. Or a big hybrid shortboard. I surf only DHD boards so I would say the Phoenix, Black diamond or the interceptor. But there are a lot of other brands and maybe you like Pyzel better. It all comes down on you own feeling and what you think is best for you. I myself went very fast to a shortboard and I did struggle and maybe I would surf better if I surfed bigger board first so don’t make that mistake. Rent some or asked if you can try them out. Don’t look further more up. The lip is above you. If you look up and point your leading hand there you can hit the lip. You will go more vertical. The further to the shoulder you look to the less vertical you go.

I agree with Scott hold the bottom turn longer. Look at the lip to go there. At the cutback also hold it longer. Like Graham said look to the foam. Don’t rush it. And it would be perfect.

Looking at the video both knees go outside. And doing it at home it doesn’t. Will make a video to make sure. Because I think it doesn’t. I think because I have more time and am relaxed. No pressure of missing the wave or other people around.

What a nice wave. Where is it? Bali? Sorry can give you any advice what’s already said. Come I wish I could surf like you on the backside I would be very happy. Just relax is maybe the thing I would say.

I am not an expert only surfing for 5 years, but have the feeling you rush your bottom turn. And doing that puts the weight on your back foot. So yes more front on. But I would be happy to be able what you do. Beautiful wave.
