Use the first button from the left when choosing attachments. I know. It's deceptive.

One thing to consider is to simply wait a whole lot longer before turning to paddle. (You could easily get into this wave with just one or max two stokes). That would give you more time to read the wave. Which would help your positioning and hence also your speed generation.

This wave is pretty much perfect and it doesn't break so quickly so you het away with it. But if this was a short beach break you can easily paddle yourself out of position this way so it's good to build the right habit early.

Lennart Neubauer still fixing it. But here are some thoughts:

Letst start with a question: are you expecting to fall? It doet of seems that way. It seems like a silly question, but think about it.

So here are some thoughts on fixing:

- you fall backwards because you're not twisting your upper body and thus getting back over your board and leading it down the wave.

- I would suggest you're aiming to get your upper body to face the camera.

- to do that actively pull your left arm (and thus your body) around. Basically your arm should be pointing to the right of the screen.

- at the same time bring your right arm around. Touching your fave with the upper side of your hand can help to twist more quickly.

A great place to practice is in the bowl on a surf skate. I've done that a lot myself. My personal problem is I then forget to do it while in the water.

Could it be that this is an example of a broken twist? I.e. you're not twisting enough at the top which makes you default to a lean. (Unfortunately I'm an expert on broken twists)

How do you feel about the Rotterdam pool? I haven't tried it yet.

First impression: I think you're a lot busier than you need to be. If you could hold the turns for longer you could for quite a bit further up the wave and then carve back down or snap your turns would look pretty sick. 

Clayton Nienaber I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually easier to make a slightly longer video than these short ones. A simple one take and no editing required.

Could it be that you are reverting to an older (bad) habit because of the thentension causer by surfing a bigger wave? Whenever I nosedive it's typically a case of looking in the wrong place. Its much more rare for me han it used to be but when the wave gets scarier I sometimes revert to bad habits.

Maybe a suggestion (understanding fully that this does not address all your issues): as an alternative to the app you could consider uploading your reviews to YouTube and setting them to "unlisted". And then just posting the link in the app. Basically similar to what most members do.

This way you still wouldn't be able to find the videos by simply googling and you would have considerably more freedom. Also YouTube is probably a bit more user friendly.

It might even provide a boost to the YouTube platform too.
