Angelina Steph As I recall, when you're turning frontside, you can touch your cheek with the back of your rear hand to help you twist through the turn.

PS yes, we do miss Ant ☹️

In one of the surf skate videos where Ant is practising a frontside top turn, Clay suggests that, as he twists, he opens his arms like he's going to give the camera a Bear Hug 👍

Now that looks better! 👍 You get the front arm out of the way and look back at where you want to go.

The next issue I'd suggest is that, after the cut back, you go mid-face and bend at the waist, instead of going top to bottom and rebounding off the foam.

It's certainly better, but I think you're right about the front arm.

Also you're back foot heavy and not looking to the foam where you want to go.

Maybe some more practise on the surf skate 🙂

When turning backside, try lifting your elbow higher and out to the side which should help you twist and keep your back straight as you're bending over from the waist.

Also it looks like you're holding your breath as there's a lot of tension in your face, so try blowing a raspberry to help you relax 🙂

Nice pump track (better than my local one!)

I'd suggest doing less with the arms and more with the knees.

Kiss the knees and extend to give yourself drive, the arms just point the way.

Coryn Daniel I'll post it right after yours... 😁

Scott Wagenblast A follow-up to this:

I've just been watching the replay of the Forehand Cutback live session and at 43'20" onwards Clay was showing someone how to lift the front arm up and out of the way (the elbow in the back pocket technique), but keeping the coffee cup arm tucked in with the back of the hand touching the face, so the elbow drives through.

I realised this is very similar to one of my favourite martial arts techniques, so next time I'm on the surf skate, I'm going to try that and see if it works 🤞

I agree with you about the wheels, but I'm not so sure about the bearings.

Here's a guide from the shop where I got the Dragon wheels from and they are literally trying to discourage people from spending lots of money on "improved" bearings.

Speaking as someone who sells stuff on a website, you don't do something like that unless you really feel strongly about the issue!

Scott Wagenblast Interesting thoughts.

I was experimenting with reaching up with the arms, rather than pushing up with the legs which was helping somewhat, but I'll think about what you said next time I'm there.

PS I know it's the legs that do the work, however it's the timing that's the main issue at the moment.
