You want to push the bush when the wave pushes you. So timing is important. It seems you’re ahead of the foam and towards the beach. Angling across works better as you will engage the rail and reduce drag. It works even better going up as it’s somewhat of an extension that makes you lighter.hope this resonates G

Reverse it. Stand in the best posture and then pay attention in how you lie down. It will be an efficient effortless movement. Then do the same thing standing up. A mirror helps as this make you look up to see yourself

G you have improved so much and your style looks great. Unfortunately geography is not your friend. By that I mean you surf on really poor low potential waves that don’t help contribute to good surfing. Don’t beat yourself up. If you could invest in a trip to better waves you would see a significant difference

Super inspiring to surf more efficiently

Haha. It’s like having models up on stage. They are all beautiful but they have vastly different personalities

Hi Shauni

You looked good on the videos. Here what I noticed. There is not a lot of awareness of where you are on the wave. Ie where is the lip , where is the foam, where is the bottom of the wave and where am I on the wave. Good positioning means good potential. Poor positioning means low potential for good turns. Fix this and the rest will slowly fall into place
