The swell is picking up now, and i try to bottom turn to aim for the more critical place, but then I think i rushed the top turn because i was scared, so the lips only hitted on me not on the board, is that maybe I should hold it longer for the bottom turn until the lip is going to hit the board? Or any tips or videos i should go to watch if aiming for a more powerful critical lips? Sorry only the photographer got the footage and no vidoe was captured 🙏🙏

Glad to be surfing in Indonesia everyday, making much more progress, ombe method really helped me a lot for building up in mind what I need to do(though maybe my body can’t follow it yet), any advice will be appreciated 🙏

Stopped 3 weeks for surfing due to an injury, finally been back to water for a week. Want to ask for linking up the top turn, I think i am too late in dropping back to the wave? Or maybe I should try to kick the tail the pivot the board faster?

Progress update, practicing backside everyday lately. The problem is still the same, side on, too much weight on back foot, didn’t open the shoulder and look to the lip when trying to bottom turns. Shall i use surfskate to fix all the basic stances and posture or any other suggestions?

Just wondering will tutorial about floater be made in the program? Seems like floater is an important skill for intermediate or early advance to link up and ride a longer section?

Hello everyone my name is Yiu Ting and I am from Hong Kong. Back in home there is almost no wave mostly(only close out and white water). So it is really hard for me to learn surfing, and i can only go to bali during vacation. I think the days in water for me is like 80-100 days. Now i am living by those countries with good wave and see how far can i progrss and hopefully can be a better surfer. Here is some of the clips of my surfing and i discovered these bad habits after watching ombe’s videos

1. Knee not kissing, very side on

2.back foot too heavy

3.lack of compression and extension

4.rails not engaged mostly

5.hands are flying around not properly placed mostly.

I would like to know is there anymore bad habits i showed that need to change and how should be the sequence for me to change these for progress. I am living in sri lanka for 1 more month now(mellow waves) and will be going to Indonesia after.
