Took some different angles of video of my figure 8 practice to see if I was bending at waist too much into the 2nd turn and/or if I was letting my coffee cup arm get behind me into the cutback turn.
These videos are not of all the same attempt cause I don't have 3 phones to record all the angles at once, but I tried to select turns that all looked/ felt similar when I did them for a better comparison.
Feel free to let me know what you think. I know myself watching these angles I definitely could get my head around more on the turn and I notice I tend to hold my breath, which now that I've noticed I can work on making some fart noises or something going into it.
As a side note: legs are burning after all the attempts I made today. Skating a bowl after leg day= hard!

Hey John, when you doing your front side turn, it looks you keep looking to your left which keeps your turn wide... I think if you look down to the bottom of the ramp where you want to go sooner your turn will be tighter.

You doing it great on the back side turn, yet the front you have a much wider turning circle... Stop looking at the rail 😉

Looking so much better. Try do it with a paper cup and a tiny amount of water to make it smoother

I can see now what you were talking about, that entry is a bit awkward.

It's definitely looking better, what I'd suggest now is maybe trying to compress and get the coffee cup arm more forward as you go into that turn as I think you may be rushing it and you're trying to force the turn early.

I posted a pic of John John Florence's "surfboard hand" yesterday, perhaps you could try the same thing?
