Surfing the advanced setting at the wave today. I often lose momentum. Looking at the photos I think I need to stack more over the front foot and get on rail. Any other input gratefully received

Thanks, heading down to Woolacombe for a few days so will be something to work on
It may feel like you are leaning over the rail but you are bending and still balancing but with a bent back. You need to gently roll the rail by leaning to lean over your front foot toe side. That’s where magic happens
Bend your knees a bit more when turning, being so upright will bog you down. Also need to be in the pocket at the wave pool lacks power anwhere else.
Will Swait I think you're right. The board is flat and the nose is up in the air, both of which will slow you down.If you turn your back foot so it's at 45 degrees from the nose, this will let you turn your hips to get more front on and stack on the front foot.Once you have that, it will be easier to get on rail.
