Wow! You’ve inspired me to try some breath work! Sounds like a very intense yet fulfilling time.

Here’s this weeks land drill.

Two self critiques 1) I look down when I feel wobbly (hard habit to break) 2) I could probably turn my trunk even more for backside.

Overall it is feeling more fluid though. 👍🏼

Next week I get to surf the Oregon Coast again for a couple days and conditions look friendly. Very excited to get in the ocean again. I’m still a little scared of paddling outside, mostly because I get so tired battling the whitewash. Turtle rolling just saps my energy. The rips here are a bit scary too…We’ll see. Keep it fun and low pressure as always.

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Same, I’d take that any day over my mushy slop!

Yeah, I think it’s a weird UX for posts, difficult to follow the conversations when they have replies. My two cents - make the replies drop down from the same screen as the rest of the conversation rather than bumping you to a new screen. This is on mobile BTW.

Ah I see what you mean! Great feedback, thanks.

Thanks, that article is very helpful. I did skateboard for a couple years when I was a kid (like 12 years old) and I learned from a goofy. So that’s probably it.

I’m new to surfing and surfskating. I am regular on a surfboard but goofy on a skateboard. Is it recommended to try and change one of the stances to match the other?
Fwiw, I’m a type-1 fun surfer. Looking to progress much mostly want to keep it light and chill and spend time with my kid. So if surfskating switch will still give me some basic balance and body awareness, then great. I just don’t want riding switch to be detrimental.
Everyone in here seems so advanced! It’s both intimidating and inspiring!
