Sorry for the late submission of my week 2 video of my superman. Note I forgot to compress on the shortboard step up, but
I really need some more clarity on what the back foot is supposed to be doing. Maria, you were instructed to keep your rear foot
flat (I think?) at some point in your video, in Ant's demo the heel of his rear foot lifts off the floor when he compresses. So have to play
some more with C&E.

Hi Libby, that’s a very detailed exercise you did… I mean that in a good way! Are there parts of this drill that you stumble on or do you feel like you’re in a good flow? Are there parts of this that feel like you have to really think about the movement or what’s next?

I think while we’re overthinking things we’re not in flow and just not working from a place of feeling it. I don’t typically surf with my back foot up like that so why it’s in my land drill?? I don’t know 🤣

It's the front foot that's important, as long as you're stacked over that, you should be fine. The usual advice from Clayton is "Don't worry about the back foot, let it go wherever it feels it should be" and if you don't have enough flexibility to keep it flat, then let the heel lift. If you look at the OMBE breakdowns of some of the pro surfers, you'll often see their back foot moving around, and be on the ball or flat, depending on which manoeuvre they're doing.
