Hi JJC I would watch from the very beginning  the Surf Start video that Graham talks about. You might be a Line 4 surfer but your pop up might be way different to what Clayton teaches which is stepping up rather than jumping up. You might paddle and kick like crazy to get on a wave which is completely unnecessary and uses a lot of energy.

Even if you find the beginner stuff boring, there may be a snippet of wisdom in there that you didn't know
